Joy Joy Joy (String Quartet)
This is a collection of twenty-four songs and carols of the Christmas season arranged for string quartet. All
of the parts can be played in first position, but more advanced students may prefer to play some passages in
higher positions. Most of the arrangements are just one verse long, so they may be repeated if desired.
Some of the carols have two versions, the first usually simpler than the second. Each version may be
performed seperately, or both versions may be performed as a kind of first and second verse or theme and
variation. A word of special thanks goes to Barbara Wampner for her assistance with the cello parts. |
